I guess for using the component, since we are taking advantage of "Expose properties from nested instances", I don't believe it presents much of an issue. In any case, as is stated in the article, the method comes not without limitations, so I totally understand where you are coming from. It's definitely not an all-emcompassing tool that will solve every component related problem, and I can agree that in a environment with a lot of designers it could actually be more cumbersome. Still, I think it's a nice way to tinker and understand a bit more how components work, and maybe in a small team it can be beneficial, as It was on mine.
